Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me"

I am a wide receiver on the Slocomb High Football team, Varsity and Jv. I am a AB, and a C student. My favorite subject is Agriculture because we grow plants and weld. I wasnt a bad child. I was following the wrong crowd, doing dumb things. Since I been in Dothan Alabama, my grandmother signed me up to attend Time Youth Inc. Mr Nate Patterson and Mrs. Kennedy, loved me regardless of my flaws. I have been there for 2 years, and everyday I attend along with the other kids there, I learn something new about myself and God. Because no one gave up on me, I want to tell everyone else about Jesus. Not only in my hometown, but all over the world. He brought me through some rough times these last 2 years. I want other kids to know, whatever you face, trust God and talk to him even when nobody else listens.

I have been apart of Time Youth Dothan for 6 years. my hobbies consist of hunting and fishing, and i roller skate every Saturday. I am currently in 11th grade at Dothan High school where I participate in two sports. I am a 60,100, and 200 meter sprinter for Dothan High track and field, and I play quarter back for my school’s football team as well. Playing these sports and attending Time Youth has taught me a lot. I have learned how to control my emotions in very tough situations. I also have learned how to stay positive in leading and finding my way even though I may not know what or how things will work out . Having all these qualities I have learned and experienced how to really trust God . I would like to share with whoever I may help or be around. I know with my experience from life lessons, sports, and the natural giving heart that resides in me, I could be a really big help on the mission trip. I am hoping that me stepping into something new and out of my comfort zone will help shape me into the person I am meant to be. I have participated in volunteer work before within my city and in different states but not out of the country, so I know this new experience will be something to remember, learn from, and appreciate.

Hello, my name is Kennedy Patterson. I am in 9th grade and attend Northside Methodist. I make straight A’s and plan to dual enroll next year. My dream career would be to go into the medical field specializing in labor and delivery. I have been cheering for 8 years and I will be trying out for varsity this month. I attend Harvest church regularly on Sundays and Wednesdays. I love attending all the church camps and retreats I can. I'm very fun-loving and outgoing. I love to hang out with friends, do bible studies, and travel. I am so grateful for the opportunity to go on this trip. I really want to be able to reach others and show them a light they may not ever get to see. I also love to serve and let others know that they have a purpose and plan according to God’s will. I would love to go on this trip not only to help others, but to start a everlasting desire in my heart to share the Gospel. Whether I’m in Guatemala across the country or Dothan, Alabama I want to let God use me in every way possible. I think that this trip would really help accomplish that.

My name is Tylan Bryant, and I am an 18-year-old senior from Dothan, Alabama. I am bi-racial, and growing up with a diverse background has helped shape how I see the world and the people around me. I enjoy playing baseball, and the sport has taught me a lot about discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Those lessons, as well as my mentorship through TIME YOUTH Dothan, has also influenced the way I approach my faith and my desire to serve others.
One of the biggest reasons I want to go on a mission trip to Guatemala is because I feel called to step outside of my comfort zone and serve people in a meaningful way. I want to learn more about other cultures, build relationships, and show God’s love through simple acts of service. Whether it’s helping with community projects, spending time with children, or encouraging others through faith, I want to be someone who makes a positive impact. I was blessed to have positive role models placed in my life and I would love the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
My favorite scripture is Proverbs 27:17, which says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” This verse reminds me of how important it is to surround myself with people who help me grow in my faith and character. I also hope to be someone who encourages and strengthens others in the same way, reminding them that different backgrounds are what uplifts us…not limits us.
As a teenager, my faith journey hasn’t always been perfect. Like many teens, I’ve faced moments where I felt unsure about my purpose or struggled with challenges in life. But through those moments, I’ve learned that God is always present and guiding me. My experiences have helped me grow stronger in my faith and realize that serving others is one of the most powerful ways to live it out.
Going on this mission trip to Guatemala would be an opportunity for me to grow spiritually while helping others. I believe it will allow me to see the world in a new way, deepen my relationship with God, and bring encouragement to the people I meet. My hope is that I can be a light to others while also learning valuable lessons that will shape the person I become in the future.

I like physical science and nature. I like physical science because it focuses on physics. I also love building things . Im an A-B sometimes straight A student. I like to travel because there is so much in God’s world and I want to see is much as I can . One of my favorite hobbies is walking long distances to see if I can find my way home. I know if I can find my way home, I can always find my way back to the man who has always loved me regardless of my mistakes. This man is the Lord himself. I joined Time Youth around 2022- 2023, I left then came back in the summer of 2024 and gave my life to Christ. Giving my life to Christ opened my eyes during the time that I was struggling . This very thing makes me want to help others. I am not always good at coming out my comfort zone, but if it is to help people I do not mind. I am just a kid indeed and have so much left to learn, but I will grow into a man of God when walking through this journey of life with him. If the Lord tells me to spread the word of God, then it will be done because without him I was nothing. Once I received him I had the word as my map and God as my guide. I just wanna help people find that map so they can meet the guide. When I grow up i want to be some use to the community so I want to join the air force and be a teacher after. I also help my elderly aunt with yard work and heavy lifting when she needs me. I just really want to do the good that I know God made me to do. I think going on this mission trip will help me fulfill this even more.

Through various forms of evangelism, such as prayer walking, pastor training and VBS/Sport camp activities we are able to use these opportunities to give Gospel presentations.
Through our medical and dental clinics we are able to not only address a medical or physical need but our doctors, dentists and nurses are given opportunities to share the love of Jesus.
